I’ve been working as a programmer since 2016 when I quit my job as a high school English teacher and taught myself to code. The first couple years were spent working on web projects doing mainly frontend work. In 2020, I shifted to doing backend work, focused on building a REST API from the ground up along with a series of micro-services primarily leveraging AWS’s Lambda service.
